I met with BWC engineering and a contractor this AM and we will be going
full speed toward finishing in time for the Aug 30 training event. We
found a back up AC power jack and data port already installed at our new
operating position in the new BWC Incident Command Center (Library). There
is also a nice long but narrow counter in place for our equipment. The
contractor is going to run inside the wall and put a 4-plex box on the wall
with our RG 8U hanging out. We will need to put our own SO-239
terminations on it. Jeff is delivering the antenna tonight and the
contractor will be mounting it. We will need to make the PL-259 connection
on the roof.

The data port is cat 5 and aprox 4 ' from the desk top. Should an actual
event take place we have lots of computers to "appropriate" for D chat or
E-team programs.

We will be leaving the existing antenna system at the Security Office by ER
in place. Should an event occur it would be good to have a RACES station
at that location if we have the man power. The basic plan of the incident
commander at BWC is to use the in-house phone to communicate with
ER........but if it fails it is very hard to get a signal from the incident
command center in the library to the ER by radio..... our existing antenna
may be very important some day.

RTL Tim: make sure you have a D-chat CD in your go bag and a 5 ' cat 5
cable. I think Andy is making a D chat CD or me too. The program is
available on line but I don't want to count on the internet should an event
happen. Bro. Bob
